Electronic Music Workshop

$125 Purchase required to enroll
More and more often, rock music is combining the traditional instrumentation of Guitar, Bass, Keys, Drums and Vocals with electronic software and audio processing to create new sounds, textures and musical patterns. The development of the Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and easy-to-use software such as Ableton has allowed musicians to expand their palettes via sampling, sound design and digital effects.

Led by SOR Denver Keys/Piano Instructor and local Electronic Music Producer Alex Nemelka, this two-day clinic is for both beginners and advanced musicians, and will include an overview of the Ableton digital production suite, including the User Interface, basics of MIDI controls, launchpads, sound design elements and audio effects. Students will receive hands-on instruction throughout the clinic, which will culminate in students working together to create their own 3-5 minute song, combining improvised traditional rock instrumentation with electronic sound design.
PLEASE NOTE- In order to provide an intimate, hands-on experience, this session will be limited to no more than six students.

Clinic Dates/Times: 9A-3P December 28th-29th 2017
Location: School Of Rock Denver
